Dolphin of Peace

In the village where we live

the statue of a dolphin is the symbol of Peace.

Once a year we all gather around the dolphin

to sing the anthem Wilhelmus and

to cover the dolphin with the Flowers of Peace and Remembrance.

Also the Fire of Victory is burning next to the dolphin.

We will never forget what happened

and by being alert maybe

we will be in time to prevent a next time.

Freedom is what we want and Peace.
