Amen
temple at Karnak, Egypt

Susan and Robert
have visited the Amen temple
at Karnak in
South Egypt.
The Amen temple was in use for the daily
religious services
from before 4500 BC until 500 AD, so at least
5000 years.
The buildings are made of the soft sandstone of
South Egypt,
so the
influence of the local climate
is slowly destructing the walls.
This temple and connected buildings was
the largest temple in the world ever.

The Amen temple was already very ancient when
the believers
of ancient Egypt were daily using the
buildings.
Most of the buildings were rebuild many times
by the ancient Egyptians, because of decay
and because of re-alignment with the stars.
The ancient Egyptian believers did
do a complete rebuild of a temple, when the
alignment
to the stars was out of order.

The stars are moving slowly in the sky
during a cycle of about 27.000 years
and the Egyptian temples were so long in use,
that after thousands of years
the stars and the buildings were not in line
anymore.
Every temple had to be in line with the star
systems.
So when
a temple after thousands of years was
not in line anymore, it was rebuild on the same
place.
That way
it is possible
that temples are much older, then their
buildings do suggest.

Susan and Robert also were anxious to visit the
Amen temple,
because
of past live memories. Being in this ancient place
gave them rest and peace with their memories,
but also
confirmation and surety.

From West to East a long straight corridor goes
through a line of buildings directly to the
Holy of Holies,
where
the place was of the invisible God Amen.
At the end of the corridor you see the Holy of
Holies.
It is this central corridor that had to be
in line
with the star systems.
When a deceased person was brought through this
corridor
the person was sent away to the stars
in a mystical way.

The holy lake where
everybody had to wash
himself or herself
before participating
in the religious
services at the Amen temple.

Susan took this
picture of Robert,
who is sitting at one
of the old temples
inside the Amen temple of Karnak.
These three alcoves
were dedicated to
Amen-Mut-Khonsu.
This little temple
was one of the several stations
aside the main road
through the temple.
Robert felt very much
at home
in this area, as if returning
home after
a very long time of
absence.
